They can cope with a colder water temperature than betta.
Bigger Aquarium for my Betta and Danios YouTube
The conditions are much the same.

Small danios and betta in tank. A suitable tankmate for a betta fish must have the same requirements and conditions as the betta fish. They prefer to have plants for cover, so if you do not have live plants, you may want to consider adding some artificial ones. They are also a very high energy fish, they never stop darting around.
Larger fish need more physical activity if they are going to survive over time, so it’s a good idea for both betta breeds that live together to have plenty of light sources when kept at home. The zebra danios absolutely loves lush vegetation. I decided to take it out and haven't had any problems, a few nipped fins, but they healed.
As a result, the betta fish will try to push the danios from their territory by chasing them. Follow the 2:1 ratio for betta fish, where every two. Smaller zebra danios and bettas will not be too active, as they may simply prefer to stay on the bottom of their tank or hide in the plants.
However, they thrive in slightly warmer temperatures, which is why they can be kept in a fish tank with other betta fish. They’re colorful, peaceful, and small enough to fit a big group in an aquarium. Like betta, in the wild, zebra danios can often be found in smaller bodies of water.
I am no expert, just speaking form experience. These fish require almost the same conditions to survive as that of a zebra danio. Rasboras are quick swimmers while bettas are slow, so they are minimal chances of bettas attacking the tankmates.
They’re great in any community tank, especially with other danios. Betta and celestial pearl danios need similar water conditions. In addition to being social and active, the zebrafish is incredibly hardy, and it has adapted to various aquatic conditions.
Put some water movement in there and more space, and the active side of a betta comes out. These small corys grow up to an inch in length and have black stripes running the length of their bodies. Ember tetras can be kept in a single tank or multiple tanks, but they will need plenty of space to swim around.
A large tank allows plenty of space for the fish to keep out of each other’s way. They do best with sand as the substrate at the bottom of the tank. Likewise, bettas have a slightly more daring temperament than most people give them credit for, and they can chase zebra's around the.
Both celestial pearl danios and betta fish are regarded as nano fish. The leopard danio, also known as danio rerio, is a friendly, peaceful, attractive, and hardy fish. The first day of adding them, the betta chased the danios nipping their tails for about an hour, but, the tank was big enough and with so many dense old growth plants (some of the plants had been in the tank 10+ years and are huge), that before long (within the first 2 hours of being added to the tank) the betta established one clump of plants in the corner as his territory, and never left that.
Reduce the number of males. If you choose to add them to a planted tank, make sure that the plant leaves do not hang over the water surface. I have had a betta fish living in the same tank with three zebra danios for a few months now problem free.
Thus, the fish must like warm and slightly acidic. The zebra danio is a popular freshwater fish among aquarists. They occasionally take in air on the surface of your tank, but that’s usually a sign of poor water quality.
Zebra danios are schooling fish, so you’ll want to keep at least 6. Most bettas seem inactive because they live in tiny, stagnant bowls or cups. As stated in this article, i do not advise adding tankmates to a betta tank smaller than 10 gallons.
It also comes in attractive color variations as a result of selective breeding. So they are not recommended to live together in tanks offering the same temperature. I had a divider in the tank, but the small danios could fit through the grates.
The zebra danios needs between 65f and 77f. A 20 gallon is the minimum for danios, even zebra danios. The best tank mates for zebra danios are cardinal tetras, neon tetras, swordtails, cory catfish, clown plecos, guppies, and platies.
Maybe some small tetra (ember tetra), or better yet, rasboras (harlequins, exclamation point, chilly) Specific temperature ranges are provided for these two fish species. Yes, zebra danios and betta can live together, but only if you monitor them.
Ideally, you want a long, shallow, and wide tank for bettas and celestial pearl danios. If you put a shoal of danios and a betta fish in a small tank, you’re asking for trouble. True to their name, their bodies are striped in black and white, making them a colorful addition to any tank.
As with most species of these fish, they love being in groups of six or more of their own kind and can live as long as five years. Giant betta, sometimes referred to as king betta, are twice the size of your regular betta fish. They are rather shy and prefer to hide around the plants and debris in the bottom of your tank.
These hardy little fish can tolerate a wide range of water conditions and are very active swimmers. Here are the most suitable tank mates for zebra danios. Pedro marreiros on july 24, 2017:
They are hyperactive and never stop moving, so the bigger the tank the better. They do like clean water, though, so keep an eye on ammonia/nitrite levels. Bettas have large fins, and zebra's like to nibble them.
Danios tend to be nippy. Ember tetras are small, bright red tetras. Small size tank with the danios would have a frequent close encounter with the bettas.
For a betta tank, i wouldn't put them in. I bought a betta this weekend and i have a 20l ,5 gallon, tank for him.
